Products and verification.

RUO products are compounds for scientific research and laboratory analysis. They are not medicines, dietary supplements or cosmetics, and they are not approved for human or veterinary consumption. For the full scope, see our Terms of Use.

Every OBSIRIA lot goes through HPLC analysis at an independent laboratory. The measured purity of each published lot is shown, along with its lot code, in Analysis (COA). The Certificate of Analysis for the lot you buy is included with your order. If you need it before buying, email us and we will send it.

HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) is the standard technique for measuring the purity of synthetic peptides. It identifies the compound, measures what percentage of the material is the target peptide, and detects impurities. It is what separates a serious supplier from one that merely claims quality.

02 · Reconstitution

Reconstitution.

Three things: sterile bacteriostatic water (we sell it in 3 ml and 10 ml formats), a sterile syringe, and isopropyl alcohol to clean the vial septum before adding the water. The exact amount of water varies by peptide; the specific instructions are on each product page.

It is sterile water for injection with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, an agent that keeps a reconstituted vial sterile even across multiple withdrawals. It is the standard solvent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides and the only correct choice for preserving product integrity.

No. Distilled and tap water are neither sterile nor bacteriostatic. Using them compromises the sterility and stability of the reconstituted peptide and is not appropriate for research reagents.

Refrigerated between 2 and 8 degrees, a reconstituted peptide generally keeps its analytical integrity for 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the compound. Specific times are in each product's storage section.

03 · Shipping

Shipping and delivery.

If your package arrives visibly damaged, email us within the first 24 hours with photographs. We assess each case and tell you the next steps. If the carrier confirms the package is lost, we let you know the available options.

04 · Payment

Payment and invoicing.

Yes. Every price shown on the site includes 16% VAT, in line with the applicable tax rules. The breakdown is shown in the cart and on the invoice issued.

05 · Storage

Storage and handling.

Refrigerated between 2 and 8 degrees, out of direct light and away from moisture. Under those conditions lyophilized peptides keep their analytical integrity for 24 months or more from the date of manufacture.

Not advisable unless your specific experimental protocol calls for it. Freeze-thaw cycles can affect the stability of the peptide in solution. The correct approach is to keep them refrigerated between 2 and 8 degrees.

Under the local rules that apply to laboratory waste. Do not put them in household waste. If you work at an institution, follow your laboratory's internal protocol. If you work independently, contact your local health authority for the correct procedures.
